What should I wear to class?
Absolutely anything you feel comfortable in. You want to be able to move freely, without tripping over or being restricted.

Is there an age limit?
Yes, 16+ due to explicit language and dance movements.

I want to do a private session, what style of dance can I do?
We can provide dance lessons in any style you wish, if you need inspiration, check out our classes page.

I’ve never danced before, is this okay?
Totally fine! We welcome everyone, especially those that are wanting to try something new.

How do I book a class?
For bookings via our platform, In the top right hand corner of this website, you will see a button that says “book here” click that link and create an account. Pre-booking is recommended, but you can also pay cash at the door if you bring the correct change.

Where are the locations of open classes?
We have multiple locations around Auckland, with more popping up soon!

Go onto our Wedding Services page, and click on one of the “Click Here” prompts.

Are classes refundable?
From April 2026, unfortunately not, but you can change your booking to another class up to 4 hours before the class starting.

Can someone come and watch me in the class?
Unfortunately no, as we want everyone in the room to feel comfortable. They can wait outside the studio for you to finish, or you’re more than welcome to film yourself dancing so they can see it in 4K.

Do I need kneepads?
For heels classes, kneepads are definitely recommended if you have sensitive knees. Make sure you buy flexible knee pads for dance, instead of stiff sports knee pads.

Will the class be filmed and can I film myself?
There may be moments throughout the class where filming will take place for Haus Of Motion social media. In this scenario, attendees will be made aware, and if you are not comfortable with being filmed, then we will accommodate. You may film yourself at the end of the class via your personal device - just make sure you tag us!
